TRIDON 2000

The TRIDON 2000 is a 3 watt ATV transceiver for operation in the 450 MHz band. Two audio channels are supported, one is FM of the carrier, the other is FM of a subcarrier.

  • Output power is 3 watts peak (as measured with a Bird peak wattmeter)
  • Video and audio circuitry, includes a video sync stretcher
  • Drives Mirage D-100TVN and D26N amplifiers to full linear output
  • Video output connector can show camera video, or RF-detected video from muted down converter
  • UNIQUE (to Wyman Research products) dual audio channels on transmit, both on-carrier and subcarrier audio FM can be used, see options
  • 10 pin camera connector on back panel, mates with this option. BNC or RCA connector on front panel
  • Standard crystal frequency is 439.25 MHz, or 434.0 MHz. Other frequencies are available as options.
  • GaAsFET pre-amplifier has a noise figure of 0.8 db, and a gain of 17 db
  • RF tight alunminum cabinet has a brushed aluminum panel, custom designed by W9YL
