Overall Message Format

Each message contains:

• one LEADER
• as many CODEBLOCKS as needed
• one TRAILER

The LEADER is used to convey:

• tuning offset
• initial estimate of Tx clock rate, with respect to Rx clock rate
• inner coding scheme
• start of message

The FRAMING SEQUENCES are used to improve the estimate of the Tx clock rate, with respect to the Rx clock rate.

The MODE ID is used to convey the outer coding scheme.

The TRAILER is used to convey the end of message.
