Pastor Bryan Trotter

Pastor Bryan and his family have been with us
since July, 2007. He, and his wife, Marisa, have been married for 14
years, and have two children. Graham is 12, and a sixth grader at
Shelbyville Middle School. He enjoys soccer, swimming, fishing, and TV. Elaina is
three, and enjoys sweets, Dora, and being a princess. Marisa works in
Indianapolis, as an underwriter for Indiana Farmers Insurance. She grew
up in Beech Grove, attending Holy Name Catholic Church. Her parents, and
three sisters (& families) still live in the Indianapolis and Carmel area.
Marisa enjoys music, travel, and reading. Bryan grew up in the Hope
area, attending the Hope Moravian Church. His parents and brother (&
family) still live there; his sister & her family live in West Virginia.
Bryan enjoys music, reading, zoos, and outdoor activities.
Bryan comes to Mt. Gilead from the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, here in
Shelbyville, where he served 3 years as associate pastor; and from Hospice of
South Central Indiana, where he served 9 years as a chaplain in the
Shelbyville, Greensburg, and North Vernon areas. Prior to that, Bryan
served as senior pastor of the Buckhorn & Kenly United Methodist churches
in North Carolina, and the Haverford Moravian Church in Indianapolis. He
twice served as an interim pastor at the Hope Moravian Church; and as a youth
pastor of the Attica United Methodist Church (IN) and the Edgeboro Moravian
Church (PA). He was ordained in August, 1986. He has a B.S. from
Purdue University (’80), and a M.Div. from Christian Theological Seminary
(’85).
Bryan loves to meet new people, to visit in homes, and to talk to people
about Jesus. |
